TIPS 4 UNDERGRADUATES

Part 1: Time optimization techniques

Research have proven that humans may only concentrate on one thing for at most 40 minutes. Then why do universities have 1 hour or worst, 2 or 3 hours lectures, right?

So insyaAllah here I will share some tips which have been practised by geniuses from all around the world (i think) to get the best out of their precious time.

For 1 hour class:
Come 15 minutes late. After 40 minutes of concentrating on what is being lectured, you’re now left with 5 more minutes before the class is over. Use the 5 minutes to pack your things (if there’s any, of course. If not you can use the time to practise your shinobi skill at the back of the class) .

For 2 hours (or more) class:
Come 30 minutes late. After 40 minutes of lecture, you may use the remaining 50 minutes
to do what you like (good and beneficial things only please, that’s the reason for all this), as long as you don’t disturb the class. Your fellow classmates are superhumans, since they can concentrate more than the normal human can. But in most cases they’re now just day dreaming, so ethically whatever you’ll be doing won’t be considered as disturbing. But if you find that 50 minutes of time to do your own stuff is too much, you can always take only 10 minutes to do whatever you like and use the remaining 40 minutes to concentrate on the lectures again. Ideally this should be the case, but from my experience, most students always used their 2nd hour of class to venture into their own dreamland.

DISCLAIMER: Steps above are only to be taken with extra precaution and care, and not with the slightest intention or action that may intentionally or unintentionally display impoliteness to the lecturer(s). You shouldn’t, in any way, show any kind of disrespect to your lecturers. Being a teacher is the best and most respectable kind of job in the history of humankind. Well, unless they’re teaching their students to support Israel or SIS.
